Accountant, Roadpost

• Education: College diploma or university degree in Accounting (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a relevant position
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Sage ERP

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team
• This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting duties and financial statement preparation
• You will play a key role in maintaining order and transparency in the company’s financial operations
• In this position, you will prepare and analyze financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and manage bank reconciliations
• The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A bachelor's degree in accounting and proficiency with accounting software such as Sage is preferred
• This position reports to the Manager, Accounting
• Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Analyze general ledger account balances and prepare necessary reconciliations
• Maintain fixed assets continuity schedules
• Reconcile and manage bank and credit card transactions
• Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation
• Support the preparation and filing of local sales tax returns and other compliance reporting as needed
• Collaborate with the accounting team to compile Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other comprehensive financial reports
• Serve as back-up for accounts payable functions as required
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
