Role
Who you are
- 4-Year College Degree in an Engineering Discipline (or multiple pieces of evidence of outstanding individual technical achievement)
- Evidence of End-End Product Ownership: Experience building all parts of software from front-end to back-end to cloud deployment
- Personal Projects: Rich Github history with examples of personal projects that can be shared with the hiring team and/or open-source contributions
- Technologies: Next.JS, Java Script, React, React Native, Python, PostGres
- Design: Ability to create intuitive, clean, and professional products without a dedicated designer or design system
- AI: Strong understanding of how to implement and train AI systems into SaaS products and willingness to learn and adapt to building voice agent
- Infrastructure: Familiarity with building serverless & micro-service in popular cloud hyperscalers andManaging production grade CI/CD pipelines
- Adaptability: Quickly and iteratively respond to needs of customers and turn product changes around on tight timelines
- Open to New Graduate, Junior, and Senior candidates
- Demonstrated hands-on experience through projects, internships, or professional work is valued over years of tenure
Desirable
- Strong passion for aviation and/or UAM
- Willingness and ability to transition between mobile and web development
- Previous experience working in and around logistics, transportation and/or aviation related companies
- Ex-Founder or have worked at an early-stage startup
- Experience working on complex systems of records like EHRs, ERPs, PMS, CMS, CRMs, and others

- We are looking for 0 to 1 Software Engineers to join an elite team that is building out Archer’s Airline Operations Software Ecosystem
- All experience levels and specialities (Full-Stack, Back-End, or Front-End, Web, and Mobile) are encouraged to apply
- Archer is on a mission to not only unlock the skies with our aircraft Midnight, but with the entire software fabric that goes into running a large, sophisticated airline operation
- This role enables you to be one of a few people to craft the future of urban air mobility by the building agentic software that powers it
- The products you will be building in this role will be integral for Archer’s LA2028 Olympics operation and to support the logistics, routing, performance, and dispatch of our aircraft for decades to come
- Archer’s Airline Software team operates with Startup DNA and as such, we are looking for engineers who thrive in an autonomous environment where you will be encouraged to make product, design, and architecture decisions
- The Airline Software Team is by design lean to provide engineers with career defining opportunities to design and scale an application that will touch millions of passengers a year
- Build Great Software: Take product requirements and turn them into beautiful, reliable, and high quality web and mobile applications
- Product Development: Lead end-to-end technical execution and receive full ownership of the software development lifecycle
- System Architecture: Design and implement the architecture and tech stack that will serve as the backbone for our platform while balancing scalability, speed, and reliability
- Contribute to the Roadmap: Ideate, plan, and prototype technical tools for aircraft performance and dispatch settings
- Work Cross-Functionally: Work with design, data science, and technical aviation experts to supercharge the features and products you are working on
- Knowledge of Code-Generation: Use the latest code-generation technologies to streamline your workflow and achieve breakthrough productivity
- AI-Native Product Building: Implement and productize novel machine learning and deep learning algorithms developed by our AI/ML research team
Our take
With traffic, noise, and emissions becoming major challenges for urban life, Archer is building electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts, led by its flagship model, Midnight, offering a cleaner, quieter alternative to traditional short-haul travel. The idea is simple: replace long car rides with quick, sustainable fluights that lift off vertically, fly over the gridlock, and help reduce urban pollution. It's a bold shift in transportation, but one that could meaningfully change how we navigate cities in the years ahead.
Midnight is designed to make these short flights practical, safe, and efficient. Its electric powertrain significantly reduce noise and emissions compared to helicopters (one of the biggest barriers to adopting urban air mobility at scale). However, eVTOLs face hurdles before becoming an everyday reality, including regulatory approvals, infrastructure build-out, and the operational testing needed to prove long-term safety and reliability. Archer is addressing these challenges with major manufacturing investment, deep engineering partnerships, and ongoing flight testing in the US and abroad.
Even with these barriers, Archer has been moving from success to success. The company is set to be the official air taxi provider for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. And its recent acquisition of Hawthorne Airport in LA will serve as both a launch site and an innovation hub for next-generation, AI-powered aviation operations. On the commercial side, Archer's partnerships with United Airlines and its growing international presence signal strong industry confidence. COmbines with newly expanded funding and successful long-range flight tests, Archer sure is a promising player in eVTOl aviation.
