Who you are
- You are an exceptional strategic thinker with outstanding analytical capabilities and proven experience in management consulting

- Ideally, you come from a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) with an MBA from a leading business school
- 5-8 years of professional experience with 2+ years at a premier management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or equivalent)
- MBA from a top business school or equivalent advanced degree combined with exceptional business acumen
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and modern analytics tools
- Outstanding communication abilities with experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members
- Technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineering and product teams (coding experience a plus, our CEO still writes code every week)
- Healthcare industry experience or demonstrated interest in health technology (preferred but not required)
- Unimpeachable integrity with ability to handle highly confidential information with complete discretion
What the job involves
- As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will serve as a strategic partner and force multiplier to our CEO, working at the intersection of strategy and execution to drive critical initiatives that will shape Ezra's trajectory. You'll ensure seamless execution of our most important priorities while building the operational infrastructure to scale our impact
- This role offers unparalleled exposure to every facet of our business, from product strategy and operations to investor relations and strategic partnerships. You'll work directly with the CEO and Ezra leadership team, leading cross-functional initiatives that directly influence company-wide decisions and accelerate our mission
- This position reports directly to the CEO
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead high-priority special projects spanning multiple functions, from market expansion strategies to new product launches, ensuring flawless execution from inception to completion
- Optimize Executive Impact: Manage the CEO's priorities, prepare comprehensive briefs for board meetings and investor discussions, and ensure systematic follow-through on all commitments
- Executive Presence: You will occasionally have to represent the CEO and their views in internal and external settings when they may not be able to attend certain meetings
- Conduct Deep Research & Analysis: Perform market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence on strategic opportunities; synthesize complex healthcare data into actionable insights and compelling presentations
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as connective tissue across Product, Operations, Marketing, and Clinical teams spanning across both Ezra and Function Health, breaking down silos and driving alignment on joint company objectives
- Manage Operational Excellence: Design and implement scalable processes for quarterly planning, OKRs, and company-wide initiatives that enhance decision-making velocity
- Shape External Communications: Draft and refine investor updates, board materials, company-wide announcements, and prepare the CEO for high-stakes presentations
- Navigate Meeting Follow-ups: Capture key decisions, ensure action items are distributed and tracked, and drive accountability across all stakeholder commitments
- Build Strategic Frameworks: Develop data-driven models and frameworks to support critical business decisions around pricing, market entry, and resource allocation

With the predominant model of healthcare being routine checkups and care for severe discomfort, chronic disease and health disparity are on the rise in the US. Function Health is a company that promotes a continuous mode of healthcare by removing barriers to lab testing.
Founded by former employees at Google Research, Meta, Fitbit and Tonal, Function Health provides subscribers with new ways to manage their health, opting for preventative measures rather than treatment. It does this by providing members with all-in-one lab testing, with more than 100 different tests available. It quantifies results and insights in an accessible and actionable manner, making caring for your health easier to manage.
Having only come out of stealth in 2023, it's impressive to see Function already secure a substantial Series B round and a 50,000-plus membership base. Its disruptive model of preventative healthcare is clearly turning heads, and it will use its fresh funding to scale its platform to a wider market.
