Who you are
- Financial acumen, including a strong understanding of cash flows, budgets, and revenue models
- Intellectually curious and driven to challenge the status quo
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to securing new revenues and improving internal efficiencies
Desirable
- CFA, CPA, CAIA, MBA or other advanced degree
- Operating experience within asset management, investment banking, fund administration, or fintech
- Proven experience in digital assets, financial services, and/or SaaS, with a strong track record of closing deals and hitting targets
- Candidates with vast enterprise AE or Product experience in capital markets and/or treasury fintech are encouraged to apply
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our growing team
- As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building relationships, expanding Blockstream’s brand recognition and closing revenue producing enterprise deals within specific channels
- This role requires a strong understanding of financial services, a passion for Bitcoin, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Producing revenue and exceeding sales targets
- Building a verifiable pipeline of qualified leads and consistently closing deals
- Building brand recognition and fostering relationships within specific channels across the enterprise landscape
- Traveling up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events
- Building awareness of Blockstream as the premier Layer2 provider for professional financial services through presentations, networking, and thought leadership
- Operating in a multidisciplinary fashion, collaborating effectively across different departments and teams within Blockstream
- Contributing to the expansion of enterprise products and the Blockstream Enterprise Team

Bitcoin’s blockchain shows great potential to form the future foundation of financial infrastructure. However, working in advanced areas such as Bitcoin mining, asset issuance, and the Lightning Network goes beyond the fundamental framework, and requires expensive assistance from blockchain engineers. Blockstream develops technology to make it easier for businesses and individuals to make use of the Bitcoin blockchain, opening it up to a wider range of users.
Blockstream's offerings include tech to help people utilize advanced technology within the Bitcoin blockchain, including microtransactions on the Lightning Network, enterprise-class Bitcoin miner hosting, and layer-2 digital asset issuance. The company also provides Blockstream Satellite, a technology that leverages satellites to stream blockchain transactions without the internet, preventing them from being disrupted by connection loss.
Whilst the technology Blockstream is facilitating access to already exists, the company has smartly recognized the inaccessibility of its advanced features, and found its niche in providing an easier way to work with the technology.
