Who you are

  • Have 7+ years of professional experience with a modern stack
  • Extensive experience working with frontend technologies like JavaScript, CSS and React
  • Extensive experience working with backend technologies like Rails, Python and NodeJS
  • Experience writing end to end tests on your code and integrating with a CI pipeline
  • Experience designing systems with multiple interacting elements
  • Thrive on challenges with no clear answers
  • Designed, developed and delivered complex projects involving multiple teams and/or engineers

What the job involves

  • Scope and lead large & often ambiguous technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to iteratively evolve and scale
  • Design, build, and maintain APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Make effective tradeoffs between business priorities, user experience, and reliability

Our take

The complications of payments within the trucking and transportation industry are immense, with drivers and companies having to deal with fees, spending limits, and credit scores every day. Drivers must also frequently deal with the costs associated with repairs, insurance, and road tolls, and this can quickly become difficult to manage for both drivers and employers.

AtoB is setting out to change this. The company develops payment infrastructure for trucking and transportation industries, providing drivers with fuel cards that offer truck stop and gas station discounts, without service fees or credit score checks. In addition to these employee benefits, the company also provides fintech solutions for transportation employers to track their drivers' transactions, set spending limits, and gain insights into financial inefficiencies.

There has been growing investment into digitising the transportation sector, which makes for a competitive market. That said, AtoB has raised impressive funding which will support the expansion of innovation efforts and its continued growth.
