Role
Who you are
- Compliance certifications preferred
- 5 or more years experience in compliance. Experience in the payments or eCommerce industry is strongly preferred
- Consistent attention to details / Accuracy and Risk / business economic affinity
- Strong stakeholder management skills (internal & external) and problem analysis and Solving skills
- Advanced degree in law, business, or applicable field of study
- Fluent in Dutch and English
What the job involves
- Maintain oversight and forward planning of changes in the regulatory compliance environment across the company’s international footprint
- Remain the company point of contact and action owner for all regulatory, licensing, KYC, AML, etc. issues (ongoing engagement with the Dutch Central Bank and FIU)
- Manage the ongoing compliance training and awareness of all Katanox Fintech staff
- Maintain the company policy program, ensuring all applicable policies are documented, current, accurate, appropriate, and embedded in the organization
- Perform risk analysis on the compliance and reputational risks associated with contractual relations Katanox Fintech has with card acquirers, payment product suppliers, and new business/client/merchant relationships
- Ensure the merchant due diligence program meets the obligations imposed by the card schemes, regulatory entities, and Katanox Fintech’s acquiring partners
- Advise the CFRO and other departments on execution/ improvement of controls in the internal and internal compliance environment
- Provide expert compliance advice and oversight to the risk investigations team in the conduct of ongoing monitoring of the merchant portfolio in consideration of scheme programs governing IP Infringement, aggregation, area of use, copyright protection, etc
Our take
Distribution within the hospitality industry has become outdated and untrustworthy. Katanox is re-piping this issue, by enabling a direct solution between travel sellers and accommodation providers, in turn providing more choices for travellers.
By providing direct contracting, travel sellers and independent online agencies' commissions will be significantly increased, and accommodation providers can take full control of their distribution by defining the terms of trade while also lowering their distribution costs. This results in Katanox being seen as an attractive solution for these companies.
Recently, Katanox secured a license from the Dutch National Bank, enabling the company to offer regulated payment services across the European Economic Area, streamlining transactions and cutting costs for accommodation providers and buyers. AS the company continues to expand its payment offerings and build products, this development sets the stage for significant growth and new opportunities in the hospitality industry.
