BS degree in software engineering or related field
Demonstrated work experience in a software development management role
Expert-level development skills (C++, Python)

What the job involves

We are hiring an experienced software development manager to lead a group of highly skilled engineers and researchers in the Proceduralism & Simulation, Content Creation group
Working closely with your manager and scrum master, you will be responsible for guiding employees to execute software engineering plans, coach each member of their team, lead 1-1s, and participate in the agile development cycle of the scrum teams which contain his/her direct reports
In addition, the candidate will actively hold performance discussions with direct reports, and perform annual performance reviews
Proactively engage the wider team of domain experts and Agile partners to understand how each team member is performing, and to lead them to individual success
The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating and executing with other software development groups within Media & Entertainment, particularly when it comes to release management, and the details which surround a successful software release
Recruit, develop and manage a distributed team of software developers
Work with team members to establish career development plans
Organize software development activities to continually make progress on the product roadmap
Coordinate technical investigations to determine the feasibility of requested enhancements
Communicate the status of the project to internal stakeholders
Participate in customer meetings to maintain an awareness of their priorities
Facilitate the Agile process within the team
