Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of experience managing core social channels (specifically Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) at a media company
- Demonstrated track record of developing engaging and innovative social media strategies, and growing engaged audiences on organic social channels
- Experience understanding data and insights to drive learnings
- Experience running several campaigns at once with an aptitude for being flexible and problem solving on the fly
- You dominate internet culture and know what’s trending on top social platforms
- Comfort bouncing back-and-forth between strategy and tactics — you like to think big picture but are also comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing
What the job involves
- The Organic Social team is one of the fastest growing and incredibly exciting verticals within MasterClass. You will join a supportive & collaborative team and your role will have a massive impact on the growth of the organic social business
- Class Launch social lead - Represent social for assigned Class Launch slate, including the social strategy for MC owned and Instructor/Partner social channels, sourcing class launch content, building Instructor social kits, and monitoring performance
- Develop social-first concepts and content ideas for new classes that will help drive awareness and deliver our key social KPIs
- Manage assigned priority MasterClass social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads), oversee social publishing calendar and content strategy
- On-Set Capture Pre-/Post-Production - Develop social-first content ideas to be captured on set, and own the concept through post-production and execution on our social channels
- Campaign Social Strategy - Collaborate with social team members to manage social content strategy, and talent asset needs for MC campaigns outside of Class Launches
- Cross-functional collaboration - Represent social marketing in cross-functional interactions with essential team members and high-visibility partners, including Brand Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Comms, Creative, Performance Marketing, Talent, Content, and Production
- Reporting - Present social marketing strategy, creative concepts and performance results to internal partners as well as external teams (agencies and talent teams)
- Advisor & Consultant - Act as a social authority and trusted advisor in key areas, ranging from genre expert to knowledge on the latest social trend

For example, learning to cook with Gordon Ramsay, mastering tennis techniques with Serena Williams, and perfecting songwriting with Alicia Keys.
The streaming platform provides more than 100 classes across nine categories, including sport, wellness, music, food, and business. Each class is made up of around 20 short video lessons, accompanied by a workbook and a members’ community.
With a $2.5 billion valuation and no shortage of funding, MasterClass is seen as a leader in the edtech market and differentiates itself from fierce competitors Udacity and Udemy by blurring the line between education and entertainment.
