Our take
Globally, nations have continued to fail to meet their recycling targets; of all plastics ever produced, only 9% has been recycled. The rest ends up polluting our environment and accelerating the climate crisis that threatens our existence. TrueCircle is an early stage start up setting out to change this, deploying the latest in computer vision, robotics and B2B marketplace technology to ensure that no valuable materials go to waste.
Having recently closed one of Europe’s largest ever ClimateTech seed rounds, TrueCircle's founding team has deep unicorn start-up and scaling experience. It includes one of Revolut's earliest employees, Onfido co-founder, the former head of Robotics at Ocado and engineering talent from companies like Skyscanner and Amazon.
Backed by such an experienced team and tackling an increasingly urgent problem, TrueCircle have great potential to build a business that significantly impacts the recycling industry for the better.
