- You have completed at least 1–2 internships in high-growth companies or strategy consulting

What the job involves
- As Upvest enters the next stage of growth, we are looking for fintech enthusiasts to support us in the Strategy team and work directly with our Head of Strategy & Chief of Staff, Tine Von Villiez, as well as our entire Strategy team including our CEO and Founder, Martin Kassing
- As leading Investment API category leader in Europe, we are scaling our business and product across client groups, markets and products
- As Strategy Intern, you will be at the core of our strategic initiatives, working within the strategy team and cross-functionally with our other teams to:
- Support Upvest’s vision and strategy to become the leading investment infrastructure of tomorrow across Europe
- Our Investment API revolutionises access to investment infrastructure
- We have worked relentlessly to build the product we have today and are proud to already call Europe’s largest Fintech our clients
- As we enter a critical scaling phase, we need to stay laser-focused on our goal: to become Europe’s category leader
- Our company strategy serves as the backbone of this focus
- As Strategy Intern, you will support the Strategy team and entire executive team to shape and execute our strategy—from initial conceptualization to prioritisation, execution and communication of key initiatives
- Example projects include supporting our international expansion and uncovering new business opportunities
- Support our organisational strategy as a key enabler for growth and focus
- With over 180 talented professionals on our team and continued growth in product, markets, and client reach, it’s essential to maintain a sharp focus, make strategic decisions, and set clear priorities
- You will be key to supporting the development and execution of our organisational strategy, including our OKR process, linking our OKRs with core business KPIs, and collaborating across teams to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic prioritisation
- Additionally, you’ll play a central role in supporting our all-hands presentations, preparing senior stakeholder presentations and offsites
- Work cross-functionally to gain deep insights into our business
- As a member of the strategy team, you’ll engage in cross-functional projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of our product, clients, operations, and banking ecosystem
- Working closely with our Head of Strategy & Chief of Staff and our executive and senior management teams, you’ll ensure seamless business operations
- You will gain wide exposure across our business, contributing to high-impact projects alongside senior leadership
- Ownership coupled with inspirational leadership: As Strategy Intern you will be at the core of some of the most impactful projects at Upvest. From supporting the definition of our company strategy and targets to helping in the execution, you will be a key stakeholder and truly own the outcome paired with inspirational leadership, working directly with our Chief of Staff and the entire management

Our take
Upvest is a fintech startup that empowers financial services companies to provide their customers with access to a full range of financial assets, including stocks, ETFs and crypto products. Upvest's investment API integrates seamlessly with its customers existing systems and is designed to scale easily, freeing companies from the need to develop their own brokerage and custody infrastructure from scratch.
As one of the few companies in Germany that is licensed for both the custody of traditional securities and crypto, Upvest is able to provide its services across Europe. Its solution has been readily adopted by some major players in the space including Ginmon, Vivid and ABN AMRO.
Upvest is backed by a number of Europe's largest tech VCs, alongside American investment monolith BlackRock. In 2023, it closed a VC investment round that one of the largest in the German fintech arena. It has gone on to secure further funding which supports ventures such as absorbing the complexity of new local tax wrappers, rolling out AI-supported investment engines, and speeding up the rate at which clients can bring pension products to market .
