Who you are
- This role is ideal for a high-output individual who thrives on data-driven problem solving, has a passion for the future of mobility, and is excited by scaling customer-focused products
- 1–3 years of experience in management consulting, or a high-growth strategy/operations role (ideally within mobility, logistics, or tech)
- High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with a proven ability to take disparate datasets (e.g., GIS data, city census data, traffic patterns) and extract clear insights. You should be comfortable building complex, dynamic models and performing sensitivity analyses from scratch
- Ability to distill data to concise storytelling for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Strong attention to detail and analytical rigor, with a high bar for accuracy and a “no task too small” mindset; ensures confidence in data used to inform go-to-market strategy and leadership decisions
- Curious, structured problem solver who goes beyond surface-level metrics to understand underlying drivers, ask the right “why” questions, and translate analysis into clear, actionable GTM insights
Desirable
- Experience with SQL or data visualization tools (Foursquare Studio, Looker, etc.) is a significant plus
What the job involves
- As a GTM Analyst at Zoox, you will support building the engine behind our commercial planning and city expansion efforts
- You will empower the Commercialization & Business Development Team in translating complex business challenges and datasets into actionable insights and roadmaps
- Execute deep-dive analyses on urban transportation demand profiles, mobility patterns, and environmental conditions to prioritize service expansion and city entry
- Conduct analyses to support core commercialization frameworks, including building business cases, leveraging financial models that forecast unit economics, revenue, and fleet sizing
- Perform sensitivity analyses on planning scenarios to help the team understand business trade-offs
- Conduct rigorous research into market-specific opportunities and competitive landscapes to provide a clear picture to craft our strategy
- Help prepare data visualizations and other materials to ensure alignment with other teams on our commercial goals
Our take
Zoox, a self-driving vehicle company, was founded to make personal transportation safer and more enjoyable for all. It has aimed to achieve this goal by creating a new mode of driverless transportation, thus eradicating the safety and logistical issues that come with human drivers.
It revealed its custom vehicle design in December 2020, showcasing something different from just a car without a driver. Uniquely, all four wheels are independent of one another, and the vehicles have no front or back, making them more agile than a standard car. Zoox claims that it is different from other industry players because it has created an entire driverless ecosystem, including the vehicle itself, allowing it to have more control.
The company is fast becoming a major player in an industry that is predicted to be worth $2 trillion by 2030. Electric motors are highly desirable, particularly in an urban environment, as governments look for ways to reduce emissions and improve air quality. Zoox is aiming to play a vital role in this evolution towards more sustainable urban mobility. Amazon acquired the company in 2020 and, despite a general downturn in the sector through 2022, opened its first Zoox factory for robotaxis in 2025, and is testing the autonomous vehicles in multiple cities in the US.
