Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of technical expertise, curiosity and analytical mindset
- This is a hands-on role where you will need to demonstrate the skills, experience, and confidence to work with other senior engineers and product management team members to deliver solutions that will delight our customers
- 4-5+ years of software development experience; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Java, Python)
- Go / Java / Typescript / React
- Experience architecting and developing solutions to complex problems
- Experience with public cloud services
- Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL, GraphQL and No SQL technologies
- AWS Certification is a plus
- DevOps Experience highly desirable

What the job involves
- Reports To: Director, Engineering
- We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to be part of the team designing and developing the digital identity infrastructure
- In this role you will get the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and passion for excellence
- You will be a technical expert while being skilled in front end and back end development
- You have a big picture visualization of the entire platform
- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Develop new features and infrastructure development to support business and project requirements
- Ensure application performance, uptime and scale maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
- Write clean, functional code on the front and back end
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications; write effective API’s
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency; troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives
- Creates new ideas, solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges
- Uses unconventional areas as sources of inspiration and insight into new options and solutions
- Solves complex problems through developing new explanations or applications
- Contributes ideas for improvements in work methods, systems, processes, and procedures
- Encourages responsible risk taking to achieve high quality results; fosters two-way communication
- Presents changes and uncertainties to others with a positive attitude, emphasizing the opportunities and the actions to be taken
