Senior Back-End Engineer, Morpheus Space

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• You have 5+ years of experience as a Back-end Engineer or similar role, with strong portfolio showcasing your past projects
• You have a strong knowledge of back-end technologies like Django and Flask (Node.js and Express are nice to have)
• You have experience with relational and non-relational databases (bonus if DynamoDB), and proficiency in writing efficient queries
• You have familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), and UX design
• You have familiarity with microservices architectures and RESTful API design principles
• You have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• You have proficiency in Python and have experience with multiple programming languages such as JavaScript Java, PHP, C++, or C#
• You have familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket or Git) and agile development methodologies
• You have knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and automated testing patterns
• You have a solid understanding of cloud and application security, access control, and identity management
• You have an understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as some experience with front-end frameworks and libraries like React
• You have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
• You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You to have a broad understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques and web accessibility standards

• As a Sr. Back-End Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL databases, RESTful APIs built with Python, and back-end systems
• You will work closely with our front-end and back-end development teams to create visually appealing and highly functional web interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents
• Develop scalable and efficient software solutions for back-end applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using best practices and industry standards
• Implement and maintain databases, APIs, and support server-side components to support seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by employing efficient coding practices and implementing appropriate caching mechanisms
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in back-end development and proactively suggest improvements to enhance our technology stack and development processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with team members to review code, provide constructive feedback, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
