Role
Who you are
- This role requires excellent communication, organization and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment
- The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, eager to learn and comfortable working in ambiguity across a broad range of projects
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in sales, account management or support preferably in the logistics or financial services industry
- Experience using a CRM (ex: Salesforce) to handle daily activities and manage customer outreach
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle time efficiently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including a strong phone presence
- Ability to work well in a high-energy, high-paced team environment
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and operate in ambiguity
- Ability to adapt, grow and evolve, overcoming roadblocks and quickly moving from own prospect to the next
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be responsible for retaining TruckSmarter’s Factoring customers by building relationships and trust, resolving common issues and working cross-functionally to ensure a high quality customer experience
- In this role, you play a critical role in ensuring that existing carriers are set up for long-term success both TruckSmarter and more largely in freight, as well as relaying the benefits and value that TruckSmarter has to offer
- This role has a broad scope, jumping in to resolve common operational challenges whenever and however you can, while also working with carriers to help manage and grow their business
- This role is a great opportunity to expand and apply your sales and/or support experience into a high impact account management-type role, leveraging your passion for customer success and strong business instincts to drive growth
- We’re a lean team and, as such, this role will have a significant impact on company performance
- Manage the existing pipeline of customers, owning the end-to-end relationship with the customer, serving as a conduit across Sales, Operations & Support
- Stay up-to-date on logistics industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to factoring and alternative financing solutions
- Manage, track, and report on all retention activities and results using Salesforce
- Hit assigned Key Performance Metrics specific to this role and the broader success of the Sales teams
- Collaborate with the Sales team to to refine sales and onboarding strategies and identify opportunities to improve conversion and drive growth
- Collaborate with the Operations & Support teams to refine ongoing processes and identify opportunities to improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Develop efficient and repeatable methods for scaling factoring retention and growth

TruckSmarter delivers a free platform that allows truckers, carriers, and dispatchers to search and book loads, streamlining the entire trucking process.
The trucking industry has been historically fragmented, with truckers wasting countless hours searching for their next gig, followed by more time waiting to be loaded or unloaded – which can be very detrimental to truckers who are often paid per mile. Trucksmarter digital trucking platform addresses all these problems. It stands out from the competition by being a free-to-use service. It makes its revenue by offering truckers same-day payments for each load, in exchange for a small percentage of their fee, rather than charging to use the load board itself.
TruckSmarter has raised an impressive amount of funding from top investors and names in the industry, showing respect for and interest in its solution. The investment will be used to add more finance and banking tools to the company’s driver ecosystem.
