Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of sales experience delivering high-value solutions to critical business problems, including selling to the C-suite. Bonus experience selling to Human Resources
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
- History of building a pipeline of clients and overcoming objections
- Smart and systematic follow-up skills to ensure client satisfaction
- Experience managing and demonstrating success in complex sales cycles
- A mindset of collaboration, resourcefulness, and genuine curiosity to solve problems
- Ability to build trust with business decision-makers including C-Level buyers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience with Challenger Sale, MEDDPICC, and Command of the Message is a plus
- Experience using Hubspot or similar CRM systems to manage and analyze opportunities
- Flexibility and willingness to travel around 25% and as needed
- Outcome-driven mindset and willingness to continue working until the job is done
What the job involves
- As a member of the Upwards sales team, the Enterprise Account Executive will seek to understand client childcare needs and showcase the value of the Upwards solution to help solve critical business challenges around talent acquisition, retention, and diversity
- Develop & execute a customer acquisition strategy through outbound pipeline generation in the assigned territory
- Lead sales process from the first call to close to generate new business within our ideal customer profile through value-based selling and clearly articulating our differentiation
- Lead the sales process from the first meeting through close
- Coordinate the support of other departments in the sales process as appropriate – Customer Success, Government, executives, etc
- Build business cases and other supporting materials to align stakeholders, differentiate against competition, and justify budget allocation
- Stay up to date on the latest product enhancements
- Deliver live, tailored demos to showcase how Upwards uniquely solves customer challenges
- Keep all customer information, notes, and documents up to date in HubSpot.com and other relevant systems
- Present quarterly business reviews with updates on progress, trends in the market, and plans to drive continued success
- Provide accurate and weekly forecasts and reports
