Role
Who you are
- Must have experience leading a Medicare Advantage sales organization
- Knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services
- Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
- Effective time management and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated skill to think critically, utilize data for decisions and understand the current state vs. future state with the ability to close the gaps
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and willingness to learn modern technologies
- Commanding presentation and public speaking abilities
- BA/BS Required
- 15+ years of directly related industry sales experience
- Medicare Advantage broker sales leadership experience required
- Must have experience selling Medicare Advantage and other product lines in a multi-carrier environment
- Must have experience building and overseeing a training program
What the job involves
- Builds, manages, evaluates, scales, and leads a team to market, close sales, supply on-going service, and risk management
- Leads sales activities of complex clients and prospects for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Life, Senior Rate Life and Auto Insurance
- Confers with senior sales leaders on setting targets and reports real-time results
- Reviews sales results with members of sales team, strategizing changes and troubleshooting problems for the best client outcomes and revenue
- Establishes policies, procedures and operational efficiencies and monitors sales teams to ensure compliance
- Involved in new hire selections and internal promotions that affect sales team. May require review with the CEO or other senior leaders
- Develops and initiates plans to increase sales, lower costs, and continuously improve operations
- Develops and maintains relationships with key clients, prospect stake holders and carrier representatives
- Acts as subject matter expert for company products and services
- Provides training, mentoring, and coaching to team members
- Provide ongoing departmental reporting and metric to your direct report
- Applies critical thinking, metrics, data and other forms of information to make solid business and hiring decisions
- Collaborate effectively with the executive leadership team for optimal client and company results
- Willingness to work remote with occasional sales travel and bi-monthly off-site weeklong meetings
