Who you are

3+ years of professional software development experience with Ruby on Rails
Experience using databases such as MySQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch
Experience building production APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
Experience using CI/CD tools to build and deploy apps in production environments
Understanding of microservices and monolithic architecture patterns
Understanding of secure development practices
Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies

What the job involves

Deliver highly-responsive performant web applications following Stocktwits’ Software Development Life cycle
Work with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineers to understand requirements and translate that into clean, maintainable and testable code
Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and participating in code reviews
Proactively debug your code, identify blockers, and escalate to senior engineers on the team for support to resolve issues
Deliver assigned projects on-time and bug free with support from senior engineers
May participate in on-call rotation as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
