  • Proficiency with Figma
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and user-centered design principles
  • Familiarity with Web3 is a plus, but curiosity and eagerness to learn are more important
  • A team-first mentality with the ability to collaborate across different functions, share knowledge, and push the entire design team forward

  • The ability to take full ownership of projects from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality design output

What the job involves

  • As a Product Designer at Alchemy, you’ll be living on the edge of an untamed design frontier, forging new paths for web3
  • You’ll work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams—including engineers, product managers, and fellow designers who truly value design’s role in building great products—to transform complex technical problems into simple, elegant solutions that anyone can use
  • Whether you're redesigning key elements of our developer tools or contributing to the evolution of crypto wallets, your work will directly impact how millions of users interact with the next generation of blockchain technology
  • You’ll have a chance to work across our product suite, gaining a deep understanding of our offerings, and over time, develop deep expertise and ownership over specific product areas
  • At Alchemy, you won’t just be designing for another tech product—you’ll be pioneering new ways consumers and developers interact with blockchain tech. You’ll be at the forefront of Web3 design, setting industry standards and pushing boundaries
  • Create Cohesive Experiences: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other designers to deliver cohesive, consistent user experiences across Alchemy’s product suite
  • Innovate in Web3 Design: Solve novel problems in Web3 design by rethinking old paradigms and establishing new ones
  • Deliver High-Impact Designs: Start with sketches and wireframes, move to high-fidelity mockups, and guide the development team to bring those designs to life
  • Advocate for the User: Ensure that user needs and simplicity are always at the forefront of our design decisions, especially as Web3 evolves from developer-centric to end-user-focused

Our take

Blockchain technology is a rapidly growing industry with many startups and established companies developing new applications that utilize it. However, many companies reinvent the wheel as they each attempt to build their own version of the blockchain software.

Alchemy offers a platform that simplifies the creation of blockchains and the launching of new nodes. It provides developers with “building blocks” that can be used to make the process more efficient. Alchemy is already working with multinational organizations like Meta, Adobe, and Splunk, and it has won many clients from their current top competitor, Infura.

The company has seen considerable growth and is now acquiring companies to improve its stack. It now serves over 10M end users and became a deca unicorn after attracting impressive funding in 2022. It continues to refine its platform to gain competitive edge, recently launching a transaction simulation product to help reduce the chances of transactions becoming susceptible to scams.
