Software Engineer in BioAI, InstaDeep

• Strong skills in software engineering, technical communication, and organisation for software projects
• Familiarity with deep learning and basic biology
• Demonstrable professional-level expertise in at least one of the above areas, and a genuine passion for all of them
• Fluency programming in Python
• Familiarity with code quality tools and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant subject

Desirable

• Design and implement algorithms, systems, and tools to advance the state-of-the art in AI and biology
• Keep track of the latest scientific developments in biological AI
• Design and implement data schemas, processing pipelines, integrations and system architectures
• Ensure the simplicity, maintainability, and scalability of the above
• Institute development automation and quality processes to support efficient engineering work in your teams
• Maintain codebase quality for sustainable development, balancing with rapid achievement of goals
• Establish tools and processes to support effective collaboration
• Act as a point of contact for communication within and outside your teams, including with customers, and ensure appropriate and efficient dissemination and recording of information
• Prepare and deliver communication in any appropriate format (presentations, plans, notes, face to face discussion etc.) to internal and external stakeholders including customers
• Gather, define and specify features and requirements
