Who you are
- Proven experience as a heading up Brand Content desirably in a retail fashion brand
- A creative thinker who can take product concepts and create a seasonal brand vison plan
- High taste level and a strong innate understanding of Kate
- Ability to balance brand with business while relentlessly focusing on the consumer
- A curious awareness of trends to provide unique and creative solutions to reach current and new audience
- Experience leading large teams and a collaborative style with knowledge and experience interacting with creative and content teams
- Experience working with and managing external agencies to support execution of projects and strategy
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and ability to react quickly to the changing business needs whilst meeting tight deadlines
- Has an easy-going personality, high emotional intelligence. But also, can stand their ground
- Strong communication skills and ability to positively express opinions and influence

What the job involves
- Lead Boden’s organic social media presence for WW and CW, focusing on how we drive increased brand personality in all our communications
- Lead copy for all points in the Boden customer journey - from brand campaigns to product pages
- Bring the PR and Influencer strategy to life, including events programmes, press days, influencer campaigns and affiliates approach
- Oversee all external (creative) agency relationships where required
- Ability to influence and collaborate with different types of Creatives (Designers, Marketers, Art Directors)
- Ability to collaborate with Johnnie Boden on his vision and execute to this successfully
- Lead multiple teams successfully and meet all deadlines
- Can specifically demonstrate past revenue growth because of their efforts
- Managing, developing and empowering your direct team, whilst working collaboratively across our other teams

Initially set up as a mail order company in 1991, Boden has since become a major UK fashion brand specialising in quality clothing designed to stand the test of time. It has 1.8 million active customers worldwide and has attracted high-profile buyers, including Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, and Holly Willoughby.
Previously relying on catalogue sales, they were unable to achieve the real-time responsiveness vital in today’s retail industry. As a result, in the past few years, Boden has heavily invested in modernising its IT systems and created a new way to capture data online. Having adapted to changing consumer behaviours, now 95% of its sales occur online, enabling it to compete with the growing number of e-commerce competitors like ME + EM and Mint Velvet.
This new digital approach has not been Boden's only success in recent years. Traditionally, many UK retailers have failed to gain a foothold in the US. However, the company’s quintessential British branding has successfully set it apart, leading to Boden’s US sales already overtaking those in the UK, and the business continues to grow faster there.
Moving forward, Boden is overcoming a 2023 dip in sales triggered by an unneeded menswear revamp that lost sight of its core customer base. It is now reverting back to its classic formula and is planning on further expansion in the US, determined to double sales in the next few years.
