Who you are
- 3+ years experience as a backend developer
- 3+ years experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Pragmatic approach to delivery
- Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with E2E / Integration testing
- Strong English written and verbal communication

What the job involves
- The role is for a backend developer to join our amazing distributed, remote-first team
- Your challenge will be to help us develop our platform which is composed of a number of backend (mainly NodeJS) applications and support our fast-growing code base
- Our product is used by millions of diners around the world, therefore your focus will be on performance and scalability as well as delivering the best user experience
- We are a very cohesive team and we work together with a hunger to succeed personally and technologically. We expect you to work with us towards enforcing the community's best practices and promoting excellence in our product code base. You will always be able to rely on your team mates
- You’ll join a cross-functional team composed of talented engineers and designers, bringing new ideas to market and optimising our existing product. You’ll be working on our cloud based stack (AWS and some GCP) using a combination of containerised and serverless architecture, deployed as microservices
