Who you are

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about building robust software solutions with quality in mind
You will have technical experience in web development, ideally full-stack
You are confident working across all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
You make a positive impact on the engineering culture and enjoy collaborating with engineers, product managers and other members of the Pricemoov team
You enjoy opportunities for knowledge sharing by ensuring that software documentation is maintained and understood, and use a structured approach to gather and refine technical designs
Engineering degree or equivalent,
Ability to balance aggressive delivery schedule with maintainable quality code,
Excellent communication and teamwork skills,
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
Experience with Python and Django,
AWS / GCP experience is recommended but not mandatory,
Projects making it possible to account for development skills,
Experience with Agile development methods (Scrum)

What the job involves

Implement platform features predominantly on our backend, and potentially our front end systems
Develop and improve ways to onboard customers in shorter timeframes and more efficiently
Develop and improve smart pricing strategies
Deliver and influence robust quality standards throughout the delivery cycle by writing structured code, testing and monitoring good standard practices
Maintain and manage continuous deployment
Design and review designs of deliverable components
Regularly conduct code reviews and contribute to the culture of continuous improvement
Monitor and diagnose production issues to maintain availability levels

Our take

When businesses are considering how much they should charge for a product, parameters such as their competitors' prices and stock levels, to less explicit ones such as the weather must be considered. However, it is almost impossible to process the information, while optimising and managing prices, in real-time due to the ever-changing information.

Pricemoov's price management and optimisation platform uses real-time data points to automatically aid the decision-making process of pricing. By applying this data to automated price updates, notifications, and custom pricing strategies, the platform can greatly reduce the time businesses spend strategising and updating their prices, to boost day-to-day profits.

All the information required to optimise prices is available online, but Pricemoov has made a smart move by curating this data into an all-in-one price management dashboard. Looking forward, the company is investing in further product development, hiring, and accelerating growth in Europe and the USA.
