Role
Who you are
- Experience with concept development, feasibility studies, and hands-on prototyping
- Proficiency with 3D modeling (eg. Solidworks, ProEngineer, etc.). Bonus points for simulation experience
- Familiarity with high volume manufacturing processes, DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning and GD&T
- Familiarity with root cause analysis, DOE, and quality measuring techniques
- BSME or equivalent. MS preferred
What the job involves
- Build prototypes of our next generation products using in-house and external vendors for things like 3D printing, laser cutting, and machining
- Perform various testing and analysis to ensure designs meet product goals, including thermal, fluid, and structural analysis
- Design and build test systems to validate the performance of new designs
- Support the engineering team with documentation such as managing drawings, writing test reports, and BOM management
