Role
Who you are
- Deep practical experience in the sports or music business ranging from teams, leagues, labels, live, venues, and artist management
- 5+ years of business development team leadership experience including corporate partnerships, agency, or SaaS Sales
- Significant experience successfully managing partnerships with large companies and demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex business issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business, Economics or Science, preferred but not required
- Experience working with all levels of management (externally and internally) and communicating cross-functionally in a structured and clear manner
- Comfortable with working with sales software tools (Hubspot, Gong, GSuite)
- Experienced leader with an established track record of supporting and growing a talented sales team
- Experienced in the Music and/or Sports industries working within artist management, live, labels, ticketing, teams or leagues
- Experienced at building, maintaining, and executing strategic business growth plans
- Come with a strong existing network within Music, Sports or Entertainment
- A born storyteller that builds trust and confidence with each interaction
- Able to explain complex concepts in simple digestible ways
- Able to flip your mindset from big concepts to operational details with little transition
- Passionate about networking and love meeting new people and building relationships
- An articulate professional with exceptional communication skills and a sense of humor

What the job involves
- Build, coach, inspire, and grow a business development team that is both local and remote
- Attentively build and manage a pipeline of prospective partners that are in various stages of the sales cycle
- Identify new sales channels opportunities and develop a plan to execute against the development of those channels
- Identify, structure, negotiate, amend, close, and manage strategic deals with complex enterprise clients
- Work to set standard pricing structure within a complex platform with multiple revenue tiers
- Establish relationships and credibility with key senior level stakeholders at partner organizations
- Represent our company at industry events and relay market intelligence to our team
- Be a supportive leader that creates a motivated department atmosphere
- Be a great cross department collaborator
- Stay informed of current developments in the music, sports and entertainment industries
- Be a productive voice on the senior leadership team
Our take
Musicians, sports teams and brands want to make closer connections with their fans, but audiences are increasingly spreading their time across an ever-growing selection of new platforms. Tradable Bits resolves this tension by providing a marketing platform that delivers first-party fan data to the entertainment industry. Its tech retains information and engages fans across whatever platforms they're using.
The marketing startup is now looking to launch products fit for the new era of mass live digital engagement. For example, their launch of a digital arena tool allows fans to interact with their teams live beyond physical stadiums, and its integration with Square will allow promoters using its platform to measure the effect of promotional campaigns with engaged fans.
Tradable Bits will have to keep innovating to compete with the other marketing platforms helping entertainment brands in the digital age. Its reputation for excellent, tailored service will stand it in good stead in this respect, as will a 2023 grant from Pacific Economic Development Canada. This influx of capital is allowing Tradable Bits to expand its marketing reach internationally, with an aim to grow into Asia-Pacific and European markets in the near term. It has also released a data reporting tool for live event organisations called Octane, which will expand its customer appeal even further.
