Role
Who you are
- Is currently pursuing or has recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or higher in Business, Finance or a related field
- Previous experience working in startups is a plus
- Possesses an analytical mindset, pays close attention to detail and is eager to learn
- Is proficient with Office applications, especially Excel
- Familiarity with Tableau or VBA is a plus
- Can think creatively and work effectively within tight deadlines
- Has a hands-on mentality and a positive attitude, with the ability to work well in both team settings and independently
- Possesses fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of German and other languages is a plus
- Have at least six months availability
- Have a valid Visa/Work Permit
What the job involves
- As a Fund Operations Intern, you'll become a vital part of our team overseeing more than 90 investment funds dedicated to private equity, serving an extensive network of over 8,000 investors
- You will collaborate with a dynamic team based in both Berlin and the United States
- You'll have a significant impact on our business and team by driving process automation and contributing to our database management
- Support the team by preparing and maintaining documentation for efficient cash management procedures and fund operations
- Assist in ongoing fund operations, including processing capital calls and investor reporting
- Gather & organise data and accurately deliver the data to our target investment funds
- Continuously review and automate our processes for increased speed and efficiency
Our take
Many high-level investment opportunities are solely reserved for financial institutions. This means that top-tier equity funds are completely out of reach for most private investors. Moonfare solves this problem by giving individuals access to institution-level investing.
Moonfare's platform allows investors to participate in funding rounds offered by some of the biggest investing companies, including The Carlyle Group and Tiger Global. The company offers investment opportunities with investment minimums as low as €50,000, which is about 100x less than the traditional minimum. So, while not everyone can afford to make investments through the company, a much larger pool of people have the ability to enter private markets.
Moonfare is headed up by an impressive team of KKR, BlackRock, Amazon and J.P. Morgan alums, which adds significant credibility to its product. The platform has also grown considerably since launching and more recently partnered with Fundcraft to enhance its digital infrastructure, automate fund administration, KYC, and capital call processes. This integration enables eligible investors to register and invest directly online in minutes, an exciting feat which will surely catch the eye of many investors.
