Who you are
- You must be comfortable operating in ambiguous spaces, driving clarity, and moving with a focused sense of urgency. You need to be a strategist, builder, and–most of all–a collaborator
- 10+ years of publishing or product experience, ideally 3+ years of experience in video games leading teams through new game development
- 5+ years of experience connecting with or building strategies for competitive gaming audiences
- Intimate knowledge of the global games landscape, current competition, innovations and trends, ever-evolving player expectations and how they impact our business
- Well-versed in leading cross-disciplinary, global matrixed teams and able to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience leading or partnering with leaders on foundational strategic initiatives such as market/player definition, product positioning, and go-to-market planning
- Experience across PC, mobile, and console platforms
What the job involves
- As a Director, Product Management - Publishing, Unpublished R&D Product you will be an integral part of the game leadership team and the broader Games Publishing leadership team
- You will partner closely with the game EP, and other leaders across games, publishing, entertainment, and esports to drive holistic strategic planning and lead cross-disciplinary teams to arrive at shared outcomes
- You will specifically be tasked with building the publishing team for this game with the support of the Senior Director of Product Management, Publishing R&D and VP, Head of Global Publishing
- Partner with the Executive Producer to build strategy and a holistic player and business outcomes for the games ecosystem
- Drive holistic publishing vision for the game ecosystem in alignment with EP’s vision
- Partner with brand leaders on games to ensure player experiences and marketing plans that deeply resonate with core audiences and build on the around-game experience
- Partner closely with publishing and game leadership when designing and building the publishing team
- Lead visioning and planning exercises for holistic player journey and experience planning for the game
- Hold teams accountable on execution of cross-Riot programs in support of the game
