- 2-6 years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships nor includes co-ops)
- Proficiency in Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), TS, HTML, CSS
- A passion for performance and optimizing load times for improved user experience
- Willing to dive into different areas on occasion such as writing custom queries to analyze experiment results
- Strong collaboration skills, can work across workstreams within your team and contribute to your peers’ success
- Have the ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and think of yourself as entrepreneurial
- Interest in working across varying technologies to solve problems and delight both internal and external users

What the job involves
- As an engineer on the Remediations User Experience team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to build innovative features and products that enhance our users ability to remediate, which is critical for users to maintain their regulatory standing on Stripe
- While you'll have a frontend focus you will also drive projects with multiple backend dependencies ensuring everything works together to deliver a high quality user experience
- The Remediations User Experience team is a new team based in Dublin, which means ample opportunity for impact and growth
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and products
- Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
- Build elegant user experiences that enable merchants to run and scale their businesses on top of Stripe
- Contribute to the design and architecture of the next generation of Stripe’s infrastructure, to meet the high growth needs of our company and customers for years to come
Our take
Stripe, nowadays a FinTech giant, spent the first few years since its founding building up its payments business, which primarily consisted of providing an API to eCommerce businesses so that they could easily integrate a payments option in their apps or websites, where before there was none.
More recently, Stripe has started to accelerate its growth with a significantly larger range of financial services including cash advances and credit cards. They also plan to build incorporation services, fraud protection, and more, diversifying its revenue away from payments and differentiating itself from its competitors.
To further expand its position, the company is looking to triple its presence in Ireland, and extend its services to countries with vast customer potential, including Brazil and India. Its latest venture, coming atop significant new funds, is to partner with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT - a win-win collaboration that will monetize OpenAI’s flagship products and at the same time enhance Stripe with GPT-4, as it moves forwards with intentions to "build the payments foundation for tomorrow's AI economy."
