Role
Who you are
- 6+ years in software development, including 3+ years in web3
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, strong architectural knowledge, and proven code quality practices
- Proficiency with testing tools and practices (e.g., Hardhat, Jest, Mocha)
- Extensive experience with web3 tools and scalability topics about EVM
- High proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in large-scale architecture built on EVM, such as indexers, monitoring, or event-driven systems
Desirable
- Contributions to open-source projects or experience with collaborative web3 projects
- Familiarity with DevOps (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform) and previous experience on significant web3 projects
- Low-ego, collaborative approach with a focus on team success

What the job involves
- As a Senior Web3 Engineer in the Rewards team, you will be central to Morpho's efforts in creating an innovative, scalable, and resilient rewards system
- Working closely with a team of top-tier engineers, you’ll be responsible for tackling the complex challenges of an event-driven architecture, focusing on performance optimization, security, and web3-specific implementation hurdles
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, event-driven architectures to ensure efficient and secure rewards distribution
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize the rewards system’s performance in line with Morpho’s growth trajectory
- Design, develop, and test web3-integrated applications for the rewards system, including blockchain reading, indexing, transaction execution and automation development
- Champion code quality and resilience by applying best practices, such as robust testing and comprehensive documentation
- Take ownership of feature development, from scoping and initial coding to integration and deployment
- Actively participate in code reviews and share insights to uphold the team's standards and best practices
- Coordinate with peers to facilitate seamless feature integration and ensure a shared understanding of project goals
- Contribute to team health by fostering open communication and collaboration, aiding team members with project scoping and workload distribution
- Serve as a technical reference within the team, setting standards for both technical and collaborative practices

With the ability to externalise risk management, it allows blockchain creators to integrate the layer into their own risk and compliance systems. Ultimately, Morpho is a lending protocol built upon open-source algorithms.
Originally founded as an optimisation layer for interest rate improvements, it has now evolved into a base layer for builders of crypto lending applications. With the intention of making DeFi protocols more accessible and easy to use through a user-controlled risk assessment platform, the company has attracted significant interest from big-hitting investors such as Coinbase Ventures and Variant. Morpho intends to use these funds to accelerate its mission to make financial infrastructure a public good.
