To empower effective support for long-term healing from disordered eating.
Arise is a healthcare platform which focuses on providing therapy for people living with eating disorders and related mental health issues.
The last few years have seen a groundswell of investment into virtual mental healthcare startups, as well as an increased uptake amongst the public. Given that around 30 million Americans experience disordered eating in their lifetime, there is certainly a space for a provider like Arise. This becomes even more pertinent as eating disorders are considered the US’ second deadliest behavioral health condition.
Though it only went live in the summer of 2022, the company has already received a solid funding boost from Greycroft and BBG Ventures as it looks to grow. This may be due in large part to the background of co-founders Amanda D'Ambra and Joan Zhang, who collectively have worked in senior roles at highly successful startups Headspace, Click Therapeutics, Cityblock Health, and Brightline.
