Who you are

Experience with parts of our current frontend stack, such as React and TypeScript
Experience with Python, Docker and GPU-enabled compute
Experience with building scalable applications on AWS, Azure and/or GCP
More than 2 years prior professional experience

Desirable

Experience with a broader range of programming languages such as Elixir or Go
Experience with Kubernetes would be great!
Experience with the other stuff we're doing; Temporal, gRPC, etc

What the job involves

Building and scaling of our infrastructure as well as creating user-friendly APIs and SDKs for scalable, ultra low-latency TTS systems.
Shipping features end-to-end across both the frontend and the backend, collaborating with others across the company

Our take

Some of the major hurdles for Voice AI include response time, the enormity of the language models, contextual understanding and speech recognition, all challenges that Neuphonic is tackling with its low-latency, hallucination-free AI models. The Neuphonic Voice AI model offers scalable solutions that aim to feel intuitive and effortless.

Whilst it’s a crowded market for voice AI tech, Neuphonic aims to buck the clunky, slow-responding trend by generating speech as the words are inputted, potentially providing more seamless experiences in customer service. Another key selling point is its adaptability for different use cases, offering a library of dialects, accents and languages so that its customers can reach more audiences. This latter point is integral to the company, its multilingual, first-gen immigrant founders met at Cambridge University whilst studying machine learning and experienced language barriers first-hand.

With seed funding awarded in 2024 in a round led by the influential Moonfire Ventures, Neuphonic will R&D its solutions and expand its capabilities. Its seamless performance and product scalability make it an interesting company to watch.
