Role
Who you are
- 4–6 years in data analytics, BI or data science roles supporting Sales, Growth, Revenue Operations or similar domains
- Mastery of SQL and comfortable scripting in Python (pandas, dbt, Airflow, etc.)
- Fluency with Google Sheets/Excel and working with modern BI stacks (Eg. Looker or Tableau)
- A track record of owning cross‑functional projects: from requirements gathering to stakeholder sign‑off and post‑launch retros
- Natural story‑telling & stakeholder‑management skills – you switch effortlessly between technical deep‑dives with engineers and top‑level insights for C‑level execs
- Problem‑solving mindset: you enjoy exploring options in ambiguity, asking sharp questions, and pushing for “so‑what?” before diving into the weeds
- Business acumen: you see how each request fits (or doesn’t fit) into company objectives and aren’t afraid to challenge priorities
- Excellent English communication
What the job involves
- If you’re motivated by big questions, love shaping processes from the ground up, and thrive on collaborating with both data analysts, engineers and commercial leaders, you’ll leave a visible mark on how we scale Sales, Business Development, Customer support and overall Operations
- Own the data pipeline for Commercial Operations – translate open‑ended business questions into clean datasets, intuitive dashboards and concrete recommendations
- Build & scale automated reporting – design self‑service Tableau and Excel dashboards that refresh automatically and stay performant as volumes grow
- Validate and improve data quality – proactively hunt down anomalies, trace them to source systems, and partner with Data Engineers, Process Owners and Ops leads to close the gaps
- Drive stakeholder alignment – facilitate discovery workshops, prioritisation sessions and retrospectives, ensuring every project has a clear “why”, measurable success criteria and agreed next steps
- Tell stories that move people – distill complex analyses into crisp narratives and visualisations that enable decision‑makers to act quickly
- Champion experimentation & critical thinking – pressure‑test assumptions, compare alternative approaches, and constructively challenge “pet projects” that don’t serve the bigger picture
Our take
The rise of technology for remote working, alongside the number of companies offering the set-up as an employment perk, has seen a marked increase in the number of digital nomads spending extended amounts of time working from abroad. As a result, the market for for mid- to long-term lets is growing, with demand anticipated to continue rising over the coming years. Proptech company Wunderflats is taking advantage of this trend.
Wunderflats has a broad scope; covering company travel arrangements, lettings for families & students, and a full furnishing and property management service. With operations beginning in Germany, the company found a lucrative testing ground that enabled it to showcase the popularity of its service, which in turn enabled it to secure growth funding. With this, it has brought its offering to 6 German cities, as well as beginning European expansion with Paris.
Germany has one of the largest rental markets in the EU, in addition to being one of the more popular destinations for digital nomads, which definitely contributed to Wunderflats gaining an edge over other hospitality providers. As the company brings its product to other EU markets, it will be interesting to watch how it effectively handles expansion and adaption to the demands of other countries and their consumers.
