Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in digital advertising in an account management, client success, or campaign management role (platform or agency-side)
- Strong analytical skills — you can calculate CPI, ROAS, CPM, and pacing variance accurately, and translate numbers into a clear client narrative
- Demonstrated track record of growing accounts, not just retaining them — you can point to specific upsell or expansion wins
- Experience with performance advertising, mobile gaming, or app install campaigns
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), ad platforms, and campaign reporting dashboards
- Clear, confident communicator — you can run a QBR, write a wrap report that closes the next deal, and manage client expectations under pressure
- Organized and process-driven; you build repeatable systems and flag issues before clients do
What the job involves
- As an Account Manager, you'll own a portfolio of advertiser relationships post-sale and serve as their strategic partner across the full campaign lifecycle
- You'll combine data-driven insights, platform expertise, and proactive communication to drive performance, grow investment, and turn first-time advertisers into long-term Discord partners
- This person will report to the Director of Account Management
- Own a portfolio of advertisers across cross-platform and mobile gaming, mobile, or gaming adjacent — managing relationships end-to-end from campaign kickoff through renewal
- Analyze campaign performance data to surface insights, identify optimization opportunities, and build wrap reports that connect results to client business goals
- Drive revenue growth through proactive mid-flight and post-campaign upsell motions, setting up your AE partner to close the next investment
- Lead client-facing touchpoints, including kickoffs, check-ins, and business reviews — with the confidence to present data and earn the next buy
- Manage the full campaign execution lifecycle: media plan builds in Ads Manager, asset submission, pre-launch QA, pacing, and escalation
- Coordinate mobile measurement setup with MMP partners (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular) and serve as the technical point of contact for attribution
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records — line items, media plans, call notes, and pipeline updates — in partnership with your AE

Discord is an industry giant in the chat app space. The free platform has rapidly become one of the most popular services in the sector since being founded in 2015. It counts over 90M daily active users in 19M communities, successfully expanding beyond its original focus on video game players to become a broader social networking app and public forum.
Discord's userbase has grown rapidly as remote work has become the norm and a new generation of internet users has come online, attracted to its youthful presentation and plethora of gaming and social tools. It has since fended off takeover bids from Microsoft and interest from other giants such as Amazon and X, and has grown into a profitable company, funded by optional subscription fees and commissions from sales through the platform.
Discord's remarkable growth, however, isn't without obstacles. The company faces competition from deep-pocketed rivals such as Meta and ongoing scrutiny over moderation and user safety. Despite this, Discord has continued to strengthen its platform through investments in privacy and accessibility, including the rollout of end-to-end encrypted voice and video calls for all users and the launch of a native Windows on ARM app to improve performance on next-generation devices. Alongside acquisitions such as Sentropy and Gas, these developments show just how hard Discord is pushing beyond its gaming roots.
