Role
Who you are
- Extensive knowledge of industry-standard security practices, including CIS and Vault
- Proven experience in running production workloads across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proficiency in writing and testing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) written in Terraform
- Familiarity with IaC CI/CD tools, such as Spacelift and Terraform Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and a strong understanding of the ecosystem
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with expertise in root cause analysis
- Excellent time management skills, ensuring efficient project execution
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working in diverse and distributed international teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, enabling efficient development processes
- Proven collaboration skills and a dedication to continuous improvement
Desirable
- Comfortable developing automation tooling in Go
- Operational experience with Hashicorp Vault at scale
What the job involves
- Collaborate with the team in managing global cloud environments, facilitating automated cloud infrastructure deployments and maintenance
- Drive the development and implementation of scalable tools and methods for automation, while proactively accounting for drift and evaluating security best practices
- Design and execute monitoring strategies to uphold security standards and ensure optimal performance across cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, analyze, and optimize global cloud infrastructure, encouraging a collective problem-solving approach
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and availability of cloud-based services, fostering a team-oriented commitment to support
- Actively contribute expertise in reliability, performance, and security aspects, while working closely with development teams on various projects as an equal peer
- Encourage knowledge sharing and skill development through pair programming and providing constructive code reviews
