Company mission

To shape both the future of work, and the future of productivity tools.

Role

Who you are

  • 9+ years of experience as an Executive Event Producer or equivalent, planning and leading large-scale, in-person experiences. You must have exceptional domain expertise across event planning and experience managing multi-million dollar project budgets, with a preference for event experience in tech
  • Speed: You bias towards action and operate with ambition, driving stakeholder alignment and creating repeatable processes that help your team do the same
  • Order agent: You love running the day-to-day operations — often multiple workstreams simultaneously — while keeping an eye on the larger prize, and are always seeking to turn ambiguity into clarity
  • Skilled executor: You’re able to operate at all altitudes within an organization, from scheduling executive reviews to planning sprints to ensuring talent gets paid on time
  • High EQ: you’re great at reading both people and rooms, and can adapt your operating style situationally

Desirable

  • Experience using Notion - bonus points for both personal and work use!
  • Familiarity with event management tools, registration platforms, CRM systems, and other event technology

  • As the Experiential Marketing Lead, you’ll own the day-to-day operations and production of Notion’s flagship event as DRI, driving E2E coordination across agencies and internal stakeholders for on-time and on-budget delivery of industry-leading experiences, both in-person and live-streamed
  • You’ll work with our regional marketing teams to plan, execute, and support a global strategy to reach Notion users worldwide, while partnering with our Community team to maintain the engagement of our passionate users that makes these events so special
  • You will also collaborate with Senior Staff across our GTM and EPD orgs to ensure we’re telling Notion’s story in an exciting and impactful way, covering everything from keynote prep to attendee experience and special brand activations
  • Lead the development and delivery of Notion’s marquee events, especially our global user conference, Make with Notion, which hosts thousands of attendees from all around the world
  • Manage event logistics and production E2E, leading agency-vendor relationships across custom fabrication, A/V, permitting, F&B, Security, etc
  • Project manage across different internal stakeholder priorities to tell a compelling and cohesive story through all event touchpoints
  • Drive alignment among C-level stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and mitigate production and resourcing risk
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to build, track, and manage contracts, budgets, and expenses
  • Develop event goals and work cross-functionally to track metrics that are critical to our success; compound learnings year over year
  • Work closely with:

Our take

Managing busy workflows using fragmented systems can be a headache for both individuals and businesses. Notion aims to combat this problem by enabling users to work from one central hub, customizing their workflows to suit their exact needs. This includes managing files, scheduling tasks, saving documents, writing to-do-lists, and setting reminders.

The company counts enterprise companies such as McDonald’s, The Wall Street Journal, Verizon, Samsung, and IBM as its customers. In spite of economic uncertainty, Notion reached a $2 billion valuation in 2020, helped by record signups as more people were forced to work from home. Its value has since risen to over 5 times this value, an impressive reflection of its success.

The company has made a number of strategic acquisitions that, coupled with its enormous market value and enviable customer list, have Notion well-placed to continue dominating the market. That being said, the launch of Microsoft-built competitor Loop at the end of 2023 will put Notion's market dominance to the test.
