Role

Who you are

  • Someone who has shot and edited their own videos— for a personal or work-related account–on an iPhone (experience with Sony/Canon camera systems is a plus)
  • Experience concepting, producing, and editing social-first video content, tailored for specific platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). Agency or brand-side studio experience is not required, but preferred
  • Proficiency with CapCut to create made-for-social concepts that leverage current social trends and templates to create timely, branded content
  • Familiarity across Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Audition is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • You thrive in quick-moving, high-stakes environments. You have a natural drive to work hard. You maintain an early-stage startup mindset at any scale

What the job involves

  • Bilt is looking for an experienced Content Creator who can produce, edit, and deliver social video creative from start to finish for paid channels
  • Candidates for this role should have a strong ability to follow social trends and data to generate paid ad leads, identify brand opportunities, and influence stakeholders
  • The Content Creator will be working closely with our Content Strategist and Growth Marketing Managers to support brand-wide marketing efforts, focused campaigns, and engagement across our consumer and B2B channels
  • It will also be an opportunity to collaborate with our broader video team as needed
  • Candidates should be both proactive and reactive, always seeking new ways to promote our various value props brand objectives and tell our story while optimizing performance through quick versioning and testing
  • Reporting to: Senior Director, Content
  • You’re nimble, collaborative, and can interpret results to improve performance
  • Produce, shoot, and deliver social-first video concepts from start to finish in formats and aspect ratios. Focusing predominantly on user-generated content styles
  • Edit a range of video projects, including original concepts from the ground up and iterating on versions for hook optimization per prior performance analytics
  • Collaborate with our creative team to conceive ideas at all levels of ambition—from responsive, quick hits, to bigger, long-lead series
  • Cast talent as needed and leverage brand events/activations to create engaging content, focused on current marketing objectives
  • Partner closely with internal teams to assess and respond to performance data, develop new briefs, and iterate on previous creatives to drive success across multiple brand goals

Our take

Millions of Americans participate in credit card programs that enable them to earn points from everyday spending. Bilt is a loyalty program that enables renters to earn points from what is typically their largest monthly outgoing: rent.

Landlords have long been unwilling to accept payment by credit card due to the high fees involved, an issue Bilt is tackling head-on. Within a few months of launching in mid-2021, Bilt was serving more than 2 million rental units. Whilst focusing on rent payments in the beginning, Bilt hopes to morph into an end-to-end service for renters looking to buy a home, which could eventually involve becoming a mortgage provider.

Bilt is targeting a lucrative market of 109 million renters in the US alone, with 4 million rental units using its platform. The company has secured impressive funding of more than $200 million led by General Catalyst Partners, which it is using to expand its Rewards Alliance programme - a partnership of multifamily, single family and student housing operators - alongside the local merchant focused Neighborhood Rewards program.
