Who you are
- Based preferably in Paris
- With a minimum BAC+2 degree in the field of Commerce/Sales/ADV or Commercial Management
- First experience in sales administration, customer service, or related field
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Multi-tasking capabilities, with a high degree of self-autonomy with an aptitude in problem-solving
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, a can-do attitude, goal-driven mindset
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Google Suite, Slack and experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software (Hubspot)- HubSpot and MS Pack Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
What the job involves
- We’re searching for a Sales Administrative Intern for 3 to 6 months Internship
- The role is part of the Vinted Go location team which focuses on making sure we maintain and develop the network with partners, and secure long-lasting relationships across France
- Collaborate closely with the location team acquisition to enhance their productivity
- Provide assistance with monthly reporting activities ( Shops’s traffic reporting but not limited to…)
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure proper follow-up and management of invoicing
- Manage, verify and send contract documents related to sales, such as contracts confidentiality agreements
- Handle customer calls and emails pertaining to administrative inquiries
- Receive incoming sales requests and compile the necessary documents to support the location team and partners
- Opening partner’s account
- Handle partner inquiries and report in the system partner’s claims related to lockers dysfunctions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including sales reports, partners databases, and sales general sales information in our CRM
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of sales administration tasks
- Assist in the coordination of sales events, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives
Our take
For many years, the online fashion resale market was dominated by eBay. Vinted, first set up as a local website, has challenged the incumbent market leader by shifting focus towards sustainability.
Vinted has managed to compete successfully with other eCommerce platforms by providing more creative and personalized ways to shop, and focusing solely on fashion. With 75 million users it outstrips other fashion-focused competitors in this space, such as Depop which has roughly half the user base, but it sees its real competition in retailers that sell new clothing.
Vinted has raised significant funding which it has invested into rapid expansion, growing its presence in European markets and scaling up its US operations. While in the short term this has caused its profitability to drop, this expanded market reach is likely to yield dividends in the very near future.
