What the job involves

We’re looking for an analytical and solutions-driven Operations Specialist with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to help us grow our ride-hailing operations in France
The Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role within the Marketplace Team at Bolt, supporting various aspects of our marketplace operations
As an Operations Specialist you will have a direct and tangible impact on local operations that you can see in real-time
You will be leading local operations projects and working closely with other cross-functional/HQ stakeholders to support our mission to make cities more sustainable, accessible and affordable
Conducting performance audits across our marketplace in various cities
Formulating actionable recommendations to enhance marketplace performance
Analyzing pricing strategies and suggesting price adjustments as needed
Collaborating closely with central teams to implement demand and supply campaigns effectively
Providing analytical and data support to city managers to facilitate informed decision-making

Our take

Bolt is another company in the competitive ride-sharing market that's trying to take market share away from Uber in London and Europe more broadly. They operate in 100 cities and have over 25 million customers

Their strategy is to focus on markets where Uber used to have a monopoly and then they come in with a better offering for drivers

Bolt has the ability to grow aggressively for now as they're well financed. They face a similar to challenge to Uber in that no company in this space has established a profitable business model that isn't propped up by investors with deep pockets. Creating a sustainable model that's better for drivers than Uber is the way Bolt can win
