Head of Billing Operations, Notion

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in billing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of billing systems and financial processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Stripe, Netsuite, Salesforce systems is a plus

• As the Head of Billing Operations, you'll oversee every aspect of the billing cycle, from generating invoices to collecting payments
• You will lead a team of billing analysts, implement best practices, and continuously enhance our billing systems and processes
• Collaborating closely with other departments, you will support the growth and scaling of our organization
• Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accuracy and efficiency while delivering an excellent customer experience
• Manage and optimize the end-to-end order processing, billing, and collections, streamlining workflows and implementing automated systems to increase efficiency
• Lead and develop a team of billing professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all order to cash activities through quality control measures and analytics
• Implement and maintain billing systems and software
• Develop and enforce billing/collection policies and procedures
• Collaborate with sales, product, tax, and finance teams on various initiatives and process improvements
• Resolve complex billing issues and customer disputes/escalations, developing escalation protocols and implementing preventive measures
• Drive continuous improvement in billing operations by analyzing performance indicators and leading optimization initiatives
• Help test and validate billing system updates (UAT)
• Participate in month-end close and provide insight to leadership on key performance indicators
