Role
Who you are
- 5+ years experience in a quantitative role, working in highly ambiguous environments, preferably as an early data scientist at a fast-growing consumer product company
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights using SQL, Python, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis
- Experience designing and running rigorous experiments, deriving clear insights, and making impactful product recommendations
- Excellent communication skills and experience working across multiple functions to influence key decisions
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, eagerness to wear multiple hats, and passion for continuous learning

- As a founding member of our data science team, you'll be instrumental in building our data science function from the ground up
- You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact across the entire organization by running impactful experiments, defining key metrics, and uncovering crucial insights into all areas of our product and users

- Help shape our data strategy and processes from the ground up by establishing best practices that make us thoughtfully data-driven
- Design and run experiments to drive key product decisions and shape our experimentation framework as we grow
- Generate crucial, actionable insights into our product and users that shape company strategy
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to foster healthy data-driven practices and culture
- Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and situations in our fast-paced (and fun!) environment
Our take
Suno is a company leveraging AI for music creation, attempting to make it accessible to everyone, regardless of their musical background. The platform allows users to generate complete songs by inputting text prompts, breaking down the barriers that traditionally separate amateurs from professional musicians.
Unlike other AI music tools, Suno focuses on ease-of-use, enabling even those with no music theory knowledge to produce professional-sounding songs. This approach has already attracted a diverse user base, including everyday people and GRAMMY-winning artists.
Suno' rise has been fast and impressive, but it's now facing serious legal heat, including new lawsuits from independent artists. If it can defend its practices ad show respect for creators' rights, there's still a strong future ahead for the company.
