Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on technical roles (engineering, product, design) at high-growth startups
- Full-cycle recruiting skills: source, nurture, and close exceptional technical talent
- Proven success mentoring recruiters and sourcers, and building scalable technical hiring operations
- Exceptional ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders, including Engineering and Product leadership
- A track record of data-driven recruiting—comfortable diagnosing funnel health, forecasting hiring, and presenting insights
- High ownership and accountability; you thrive when operating autonomously and building from zero to one
- Deep understanding of the NYC tech market and how to attract top builders in a competitive landscape
- Curiosity, experimentation, and resilience—you iterate, test, and adapt fast
- Fluency with modern recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Notion, Slack, Google, Zoom; Ashby and Juicebox experience highly preferred)

- As our Technical Recruiting Lead, your mission is to architect and drive a world-class engineering and product hiring engine that scales with precision and purpose
- You’ll lead the function that brings Rho’s builders together— setting the bar for what great technical hiring looks like
- This is an opportunity to shape the DNA of our technical organization and influence how the company grows

- This role reports directly to Rho’s Head of Talent & People and is based onsite in our Soho office
- Own and lead full-cycle recruiting across engineering, product, and design—balancing near-term delivery with long-term scalability
- Mentor and guide recruiters and sourcers to develop deep market expertise and deliver exceptional candidate experiences
- Design and optimize recruiting infrastructure: interview processes, data dashboards, and talent pipelines that help Rho move fast and hire right
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership to forecast hiring needs, refine role scopes, and drive alignment around quality and velocity
- Treat recruiting like half art, half science: craft messaging that cuts through the noise, A/B test sourcing strategies, and adapt with data-driven insight
- Obsess over metrics and outcomes: track funnel performance, measure quality of hire, and continuously raise the bar
- Champion Rho’s talent brand in the NYC tech market and beyond—bringing our story to life through every candidate touchpoint

Rho was founded to address the growing need among small and medium-sized businesses for a unified solution to manage corporate spending and cash flow. Aiming to serve companies with 30 to 500 employees, Rho designed its platform to create seamless workflows across banking, corporate cards, and accounts payable.
The company introduced Rho AP, an accounts payable product, followed by a corporate card in partnership with Sterling Bank, enhancing its offering for businesses looking for efficiency in managing financial operations. With a clear focus on product strategy and growth, Rho has been expanding its team and integrating AI capabilities into its platform to stay ahead of the evolving fintech landscape.
