Who you are

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or the Life Sciences is required
Experience: 10+ years in Sales Training or Sales Enablement within the Diagnostics, Biotech, or Medical Device sectors (Oncology experience highly preferred)
Ability to "speak the language" of MSLs and Oncologists while translating that knowledge into a commercial context
Proven track record of leading training initiatives that directly resulted in increased quota attainment
Exceptional presentation skills

What the job involves

As the Director of Sales Training at Personalis, you will be the architect of our commercial excellence
You are responsible for ensuring our direct sales organization is not only equipped with the latest clinical data but also mastered in the art of the complex sale
You will bridge the gap between Medical Affairs and Sales, transforming complex concepts into actionable strategies that win in the clinic
Design and execute a world-class "New Hire Excellence" program that reduces ramp-up time for Territory Managers
Develop a curriculum covering the Personalis value proposition, the clinical utility of our assays, and the competitive landscape
Implement ongoing training for the sales team, focusing on clinical messaging, objection handling, and account management
Partner with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to synthesize complex clinical data into "sales-ready" messaging
Establish and lead a regular cadence for presenting competitive intelligence, ensuring the sales team is prepared to pivot against market shifts and competitor claims
Distill technical white papers and trial results into high-impact talk tracks and sales tools
Manage the training tech stack (e.g., LMS, Sales Enablement platforms) to track completion and competency metrics
Collaborate with Marketing to ensure all sales collateral is integrated into training modules and used effectively in the field
