Who you are

English – full working proficiency; Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or Greek would be an advantage but is not a precondition
Thorough and specific knowledge of typologies of money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions
Detail-oriented and highly motivated self-starter
Critical and analytical thinking
Start-up oriented, proactive, result-driven, and capable of working under own initiative and little supervision
Familiarity with AI tools and their application in compliance or CDD workflows
Experience reviewing or validating risk models, decision rules, or automated alerts

What the job involves

This role focuses on compliant client onboarding and proactive investigation of red flags in customer KYC and digital profiles
It requires effective communication with stakeholders, assisting in drafting and testing compliance procedures, and initiating departmental projects
Onboarding of new clients in line with Service Level Agreements and expected quality
Proactively conducting thorough investigations of a wide variety of red flags in customer activity (KYC and digital profiles)
Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related questions
Assisting in drafting, testing and reviewing system requirements for customer monitoring, as well as procedures and manuals within the compliance department
Initiate and assume responsibility for ad hoc project work within the department
Performing other duties as reasonably required for the operational efficiency of Finom (pro-actively deemed necessary by the employee) or/and as communicated by the manager
Support the validation and quality review of AI or rule-based models used in risk scoring and transaction monitoring
Utilize AI-powered tools to support screening, translations, or document analysis
