Role
Who you are
- You have a strong experience in HR, with a current position as lead of the HR function
- You have already been responsible for managing all the aspects of the HR function (recruitment, talent management, Comp&Ben, payroll…)
- You have experienced different professional contexts (large company, SME, entrepreneurial activity, start-up....)
- HR experience on an industrial production unit is a plus
- Fully fluent in English and French
What the job involves
- Define Innovafeed’s HR strategy
- Oversee talent acquisition strategy
- Oversee HR Operations (compensation policies, HRIS…) and payroll processes
- Define and deliver development programs for our people to ensure retention and efficiency
- Work closely with functional teams to evaluate workforce planning needs and on organizational design recommendations
- Manage social relations (incl. CSE)
- This role is pivotal to Innovafeed’s success, we want our HR strategy to support and translate business needs and represent our culture
Our take
In recent years, demand for animal feed has surged, which has put pressure on the traditional animal feed industry, and pushed prices up. InnovaFeed solves this problem by developing and delivering sustainable, insect-based ingredients for animal and plant feed.
InnovaFeed uses black soldier flies to produce low-cost, high-protein insect oil. The product has already proven popular, with US agriculture giant Cargill being one of the company's latest partners. The company has also diversified into the growing pet food market, forming a lucrative deal with ADM. These high-profile relationships have allowed the company to scale quickly, and to successfully compete with rivals such as Enterra and Protix.
The company has raised over $200 million in funding, which will prove invaluable as they continue to scale and diversify the applications of their insect oil. Like many of its competitors, InnovaFeed even has its sights set on bringing insect products to the human nutrition market.
