Who you are
- Experience in running and reporting on an ‘always on’ paid media strategy using paid social. Tasks include managing excel reports, pulling out actionable insights and working closely with media agencies.
- Not essential but desirable, experience with paid App marketing campaigns (working with an MMP and understanding of impacts of iOS 14.5 on measurement).
- Experience or understanding of how to write ad copy.
- Experience with working with creative teams.
- Familiar with analytic tools to assess campaign performance. Such as a MMP (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava), Site analytics (Adobe, Google Analytics) and App Store Optimisation tools (App Annie, AppTweak, Ap Analytics).
- A strong analytical mind-set, capable of measuring and reporting performance of digital marketing campaigns and conversion tests, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Able to identify trends and insights, and optimse spend and performance based on the insights.
- Able to pull together post campaign analysis for wider stakeholders that clearly explain performance and the reasoning behind the results to feed into product development and future marketing activity.
- Prepared to be self-starter across new projects and create relationships with multiple BBC stakeholders to deliver projects with their full support.
- Be a go to digital expert by keeping up to date of developments in digital marketing as well as marketing tech. Maintain and create links with key industry stakeholders.
What the job involves
- The Marketing Executive is responsible for end-to-end campaign delivery, ensuring that we deliver highly impactful campaigns in an integrated, timely, and effective manner. The BBC’s Digital Marketing Development team sits within Media, and is responsible for increasing 121 (targeted) marketing and deliver a step change in digital marketing capabilities through creating performance marketing capabilities
- This includes designing and implementing forward-thinking, digital-first and ROI-driven strategies, plans and ‘always on’ campaigns in partnership with key stakeholders across externally (advertisers, media agency, technical partners) and internally (Marketing, Audiences, Product, Editorial, UX, Communications, Business Development) in order to shape product content and brand
- We are looking for a Performance Media Executive with solid digital marketing and paid media expertise to join our team
- The role is responsible for executing direct acquisition & retention campaigns which drive consumption of our core services (e.g. BBC iPlayer, Sounds, Sport, News, Kids) across digital channels (web, app, connected TV). This role will support strategy development and implement them across ASO, SEO/PPC, paid social and programmatic
- This role also requires partnering and working very closely with specialists in social media, CRM, media-planning, product marketing and content marketing and so the ideal candidate must be able to easily adapt to working across different workgroups across different products
- Reports to Performance Marketing Manager
- Marketing performance drives immediate term action (consumption) and long term value (perception), delivering value to our audience of licence fee payers
