Datacubed health is a digital platform that provides patient engagement tools for clinical trials, allowing participants to input real-time data. Datacubed provides wearable devices and environmental sensors to enhance the scope and accuracy of data being collected. Its Linkt app has been uniquely designed to incorporate gaming elements, making the process more fun and rewarding for trial participants.
Datacubed spotted a gap in the market for a technology-led solution for gathering participant data. Datacubed estimates that it can increase trial compliance rates from an average of 60-70% to over 90% with its technology. Other companies such as Calyx, Medrio, and Encapsia support data capture in clinical trials, but haven't focused on the experience of the trial participant as Datacubed has.
Founded as a commercial offshoot of New York University's Human Data Project, Datacubed was well-positioned to make the most of the health tech boom that accelerated over the course of the past few years. This has made health technology popular as researchers look for ways to continue trials without face-to-face contact.
