Role

Who you are

  • You have a minimum of 6 months in a previous outbound role in a software B2B setting
  • You’re familiar with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, G-Suite
  • You have a high level of energy, drive, initiative, grit, commitment and professionalism
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and phone skills
  • You are organized and effectively manage your time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines
  • You are innately curious, coachable, and great at active listening
  • You leverage a strategic sales approach
  • You are eager to pursue a career in sales
  • You have (at least some!) enthusiasm for the eCommerce space

Desirable

  • Experience with SalesLoft, Similarweb, Chili Piper, 6Sense
  • You’ve previously reached out to marketing functions

  • As a Yotpo Business Development Representative (BDR), your role will have a significant impact on the growth of Yotpo as an organization

  • Be a hunter, find ideal accounts and prospects for Yotpo’s products
  • Identify triggers and problems brands may be having to reach out with purpose
  • Articulate the Yotpo business narrative to decision-makers to assess buying interest
  • Build positive connections as often the first impression of communication between Yotpo and prospects
  • Set outbound meetings for Account Executives to close business
  • Meet monthly and quarterly qualified meeting and revenue objectives
  • Complete accurate tracking of communication in Salesforce
  • Report directly to the Manager of Sales Development, Americas
  • Be hybrid in either our TO or NYC office

Our take

The retail sector is continuing its decisive pivot towards eCommerce, creating a vast and growing market for innovative eCommerce tools and software. Yotpo is a SaaS-based eCommerce marketing startup offering integrated data-driven loyalty, SMS marketing, and review solutions, amongst others, on a single platform.

The company has already secured strategic partnerships with major eCommerce platforms including Shopify, Salesforce, and Adobe. In a sector where the breadth of reach is key, it is wise to deepen existing partnerships and continue with new acquisitions - both of which appear to have remained a priority for Yotpo alongside the launch of its eCommerce Retention Marketing Platform in 2023.

Its focus on a single platform and integrated experience is likely to be a success, as the spate of new eCommerce tools is creating a real need for streamlined and optimized management as the sector develops. If Yotpo can become the one-stop shop of choice for vendors of all sizes, it stands to capitalize well on the growing eCommerce sector.
