Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a QA engineer for a SaaS company with a demonstrating a strong technical level and understanding of software quality assurance processes
- Experience in integration testing, with a solid understanding of various testing methodologies
- Strong inclination towards process, methodology, and documentation
- Ability to handle multiple new projects simultaneously while maintaining organisation, independence, and a willingness to learn
- Proficiency in automation coding and writing automation scripts, leveraging your expertise to streamline the testing process
- Excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring a seamless end-user experience, while also considering the broader product vision
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) systems like Gitlab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins, supporting efficient and reliable software deployment
Desirable
- Experience working with Ruby on Rails
What the job involves
- Develop and execute automated (and some manual) QA testing processes, ensuring the efficient and organised testing of our software
- Create and implement comprehensive test cases, covering sanity, functional, regression, and performance tests, to validate our software in an end-to-end environment
- Work with software engineers to review their approach to developing new functionality including pairing sessions and reviewing pull requests
- Investigate, identify, and report bugs discovered during the testing process, working closely with development teams to address and resolve issues
- Create the test documentation or test charter and contribute to the improvement of existing QA processes
- Validate that real-world use cases and user expectations are met during the validation process, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Track and analyse quality metrics to measure and improve product quality
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools and frameworks, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills in the field
