Operations Analyst, Oscar Health

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of commensurate experience in data analysis or closely related field
• 3+ years of proven expertise in SQL and other data manipulation languages
• 2+ years of experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Periscope, etc

Desirable

• Develop an understanding of operations and workflows, leveraging this knowledge to oversee a project/request’s lifecycle from scoping to execution, including interfacing with stakeholders and presenting your findings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operational and Data partners on workflow design, implementation, and project execution. Ensure all timelines and any blockers are well communicated and documented with partners and stakeholders
• Create, maintain, and enhance essential operational and analytical dashboards based on stakeholder requirements, and adapt these tools to meet the dynamic needs of the end users
• Leverage your expertise in data analytics and SQL to manipulate complex datasets, and build data models to drive strategic decision-making, and streamline processes
• Implement controls, monitor changes post-implementation of strategic initiatives, and manage reporting functions
• Assist in improving existing workflows and identifying automation opportunities, integrating vendor information into our data and building innovative solutions to reduce manual tasks
• Utilize statistical techniques and visualization tools to present compelling data narratives, guiding Oscar to actionable insights, and connecting dots between departments
• Understand and provide support for regulatory audits and quality accreditation surveys as needed, and assess how regulatory and quality requirements apply to the organization's programs and initiatives
• Regularly update stakeholders on trending issues, proposed solutions, and improvement measurement, surfacing issues as they arise to necessary teams
