What the job involves

Coursera is seeking an experienced GL accountant to join our growing Finance team. The GL accountant will be responsible for general ledger functions, including month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations in areas such as marketable securities, prepaids, accruals, commission, and intangible assets
Perform analytical review of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement
Assist in preparation for quarterly disclosure and cashflow workpapers
Assist in documentation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibility
Work with external auditors and prepare audit workpapers as requested
Assist with other projects as assigned
