Who you are

You’ve been coding and testing for about four or five years or more
You’ve got mostly professional experience, plus any experience through hobby work
You know the difference between a micro-service and a monolith
You know the difference between white box and black box testing
You know Docker inside out and dream of Kubernetes
You’re very familiar with GitOps
You know TypeScript and NodeJS. Statically typed languages like Rust, Go, and C/C++ are a bonus
You’re self-driven, motivated and proactive – someone who’ll work toward a target, not just tick off boxes
Our ideal recruit is someone who lives and breathes programming, but also knows how to put the end result to the test
An expert who knows the best practices and has the communication skills to explain them to the rest of us
Someone who isn’t afraid to raise concerns and speak their mind
While experience in the gaming sector is a bonus, it’s not essential. It’s far more important that you’re a relaxed person, not a corporate robot
You’ll also be pretty good at managing your own time: choosing how your own day looks, setting your own deadlines, and keeping to them

What the job involves

We need a software engineer to help us evolve, improve, and refine our platform. Someone who knows their way around code, while also coming up with ideas for the future
Coding and testing
Creating our testing processes and writing documentation
Figuring out how testing fits into our flow
Working on our orchestrator’s micro services
Testing automation, integration and units
Answering tickets and working on features
Tinkering with our infrastructure
Dabbling in DevOps
Contributing to meetings: Discussing and helping us make a better product and deciding the roadmap together

Our take

Many gaming studios struggle with the infrastructure required to host multiplayer sessions. Gameye is an orchestration platform that provides an infrastructure network for these studios to be able to host games according to player demands.

Through funding rounds, the company has secured investors such as Lakestar, Voltra Ventures, Seedcamp, and Niccolo Maisto (CEO of the gaming platform FACEIT). The capital raised is being used to accelerate the company's growth and development towards scaling solutions.
